Hammersmith Mfg. Receives NHSA 2011 Corporate Award
Hammersmith Mfg. has been recognized for its charitable efforts and has been awarded The National Head Start Association Corporate Award for 2011.

Hammersmith Mfg. has provided the Brown County Head Start Center with equipment and opportunities that have helped its' staff provide quality services, office and classroom computers, equipment for community activities, a Coats for Christmas program and food supplies for a special home-delivered Thanksgiving Feast for Families.

Each year, Hammersmith Mfg. & Sales Inc. takes great pride in company sponsored community outreach programs and annual missions to provide and contribute to residents in need.
 
 
The company was established as Albert A. Hammersmith & Son Mfg. Co. in 1964, a father-son partnership concentrating in general steel fabrication.
Located in Horton, Kansas, we frequently modified, designed, and developed our own production equipment, creating competitive advantages that stimulated company growth.

In 1973, we incorporated as Hammersmith Mfg. & Sales, Inc. The acquisition of SWS Manufacturing in 1985 created new avenues and opportunities. Precision-machining capabilities opened the potential for new products and markets. Ten years later, we acquired Vail Fabricating, Inc., offering severe duty construction attachment systems for sale under the newly-formed Vail Products, Inc. subsidiary.

Technological upgrades and expansion in precision machining capabilities contributed to the recognition of the company as a quality component manufacturer for many original equipment manufacturers in North America.

Hammersmith Mfg. & Sales Inc. occupies a three-structure, 88,000 sq. ft. facility in Horton, KS.. In late 2006, Hammersmith Mfg. added a new facility in Holton, KS., expanding our manufacturing space an additional 125,000 sq. ft.
